Our SIPP can hold a wide range of investments.
With a SIPP the investment decisions are made by you, the member, whether directly or indirectly through advisers you appoint on your behalf.
We do not have any involvement with or interest in any particular investment except to ensure it conforms to HMRC guidelines. We will refer any non-standard investments to our Technical Manager once we have the full details.
Along with standard investments and certain non-standard investments we also permit investments in Unquoted Shares. Due to the complexity of this type of investment we will carry due diligence on the investment prior to us accepting them into the SIPP.
There are some investments we will not permit, but this will only be because there is either a tax liability or risk involved with the investment, or because we think there is a high risk of the investment being mis-sold, mis-represented or being simply a scam.
Our position on investments and what we will (and will not) permit is detailed in our Position on SIPP Investments document.
We permit investments in commercial property and have provided a guide which we hope explains our position on property investments.
